Thanks for spotting a copy/paste mistake in my article, I corrected it, of course the easy method is with standard Snow Leopard DVD.
If you don’t have an external USB DVD but you have a 8 Gb USB flash drive, you can try it by adapting the following installation guide on HP Mini 1000 - but I didn’t try it as my largest USB flash drive is 2 Gb.
